It appears Kakko has had a hockey growth spurt in the same season.

The break might have been the first real break that kid has had in possibly 2 years. It probably did wonders for him

So stoked for Hockey to come back! Fingers crossed there's no hiccups!
As for Kakko, Nows the time to move him up in the line up to play with Panarin & Strome! Fast is a great checking forward but he cant finish what Panarin and Strome feed him. Place him with Chytil and PDG on the 3rd line so he can let Chytil freelance a little bit.
So Stoked. Commit to this 2month tourney and the NY RANGERS can be the cinderella story of this big dance! NYR vs Colorado in the Stanley Cup finals!

Will the exhibition games be televised? How will the play in rounds be seen? Any word on TV coverage?

As a firm member of Team Fast, I typically would look at this comment and state all the reasons Fast is important to the second line. But I actually agree with this. I'm perfectly fine with Fast on the second line, but swapping him with Kakko might actually bode well for the third line (Chytil specifically), which I think will be important for the playoffs.

It has less to do with moving Kakko up and Fast down, but more about balancing things out for the third. I'd also move Gauthier up to give the third more speed in this scenario.

But lets be honest, touching that second line is silly. They're dy-no-mite!

The break was great for Kakko. 1st year in the NHL grind, he started to look a bit spent. Understandably so

He better have a jump to his step after a couple months off.

Statistically line Breadman - Strome - Fast, last couple of month wasn't that good 5 on 5, and those rare ocasions when Breadman - Chytill - Kakko were more poductive
